FAQs
Who can benefit from nutritional therapy?
Almost anyone can benefit from nutritional therapy! I have worked with clients that struggle with dysbiosis, diabetes, fatty liver disease, relentless sugar cravings, brain fog, and IBD. I have also worked with clients who are interested in preventative care.
Who would not benefit from nutritional therapy?
If you are looking for a quick fix, nutritional therapy is not for you. Nutritional therapy practitioners do not diagnose or treat any disease or condition. Instead, we work alongside your primary care doctor and make dietary/lifestyle/supplement recommendations that both you (the client) and I (the practitioner) agree on.
Are you a Registered Dietitian?
I am not a Registered Dietitian, Nutritionist, or certified by the state in any way. I am trained by the Nutritional Therapy Association to evaluate your nutritional needs and make dietary, lifestyle, and nutritional supplement recommendations. I focus on supporting the natural healing processes your body where there is dysfunction to bring you back into homeostasis.
What tests can you run?
As a Restorative Wellness Practitioner in training (I complete my training May 24th), I can run the GI-MAP stool test, the MRT food sensitivity blood test, Comprehensive Stool Analysis Test with Parasitology, and the SIBO breath test. The GI-MAP test and MRT food sensitivity tests are often recommended because it gives us lot more information than we would have otherwise. These tests can be added to packages in the beginning. The Comprehensive Stool Analysis Test with Parasitology can be done in place of the GI-MAP test upon request (it doesn't provide quite as much information, but it is $30 cheaper than the GI-MAP). I only recommend doing the SIBO breath test if necessary.
Do you take insurance?
Unfortunately, nutritional therapy is not covered by any insurance provider. All services and testing are self-pay only.
Do you help people lose weight?
I do not work with clients who are solely focused on losing weight. My passion is helping people with digestive issues regain their energy, strength, and overall health. Some clients may experience weight loss during this process while others may gain weight.
If I take you on as a client, your goals become my goals. If weight loss is one of your goals we will work in a sustainable way to achieve that goal. All of my weight loss recommendations will have your overall health in mind. I do not promise fast, drastic weight loss.
Can you enhance my athletic performance?
I am not a certified personal trainer or sports medicine professional. I have not been certified by the state to do anything related to athletics. My passion is helping people with digestive issues regain their energy, strength, and overall health. Some clients may experience increased athletic performance during or after this process while others may not.

Will you tell me to stop eating all my favorite foods?
All my recommendations will be agreed upon by both you and I. That means you have complete veto power! There's always room in your diet to eat things you enjoy. Every change we make needs to be sustainable for you in order to make any lasting difference.
Can you guarantee a specific outcome?
Unfortunately, no. I cannot guarantee a specific outcome. Bio-individuality and client compliance are both major factors when it comes to results. It often takes time to figure out what works for your specific body. You also cannot expect to change while refusing to make any changes.
The only thing I can guarantee is that I will work diligently to make doable recommendations that will benefit your goals and overall health.
How long will it take before I feel better?
I cannot make any estimations on how long it will take for you to feel better. Some clients feel better within the first few weeks. Other clients take months. the amount of time it takes to heal/feel better depends on your individual body.
What does working with you look like?
If you think you want to work with me, you can schedule a call with me to tell me about your goals and concerns. If I decide we're a good fit, we'll decide on a plan together.
Usually, I work with clients anywhere from 6 weeks to 6 months. In that time, we will have 4 to 8 meetings where we will agree on dietary and/or lifestyle changes that will get you closer to achieving your goals! We will work together to figure out what will work best for you and equip you with the knowledge and confidence to continue your health journey even after we're done working together.
